The Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Johnson City, Tennessee (IHNJC) provides a network of local churches and community agencies to promote a community response for homeless families with children. We provide counseling, job search, educational goals, shelter, and food. IHNJC is a Family Promise affiliate.
2012 Chasing Snakes
10k Run – 4k Fun Run & Fitness Walk
This year the race was on St. Patrick’s Day and the weather was perfect. We welcomed 750 participants for the 10K road race and 4K fitness walk combined, another increase over last year!
The course records were not broken this year, but J Penny defended his title of top finisher.

Buy One, Give One
Family Promise and The Company Store
Family Promise and The Company Store are working together to bring comfort to homeless children with the Buy One, Give One comforter program. The Company Store will match each purchase of a comforter with a donation of one to a homeless child being served by Family Promise.

Local Kids, Local Response
One out of 50 children goes to sleep at night without a home. IHN of Greater Johnson City needs to raise $50,000 by adding 50 new financial supporters that would each commit to donating $1,000 per year. Songfest 2011
Entertains and Inspires
The 7th IHN Songfest was enjoyed by a record audience of over 500 people in the historic 105-year-old Veteran’s Administration Theatre. This year’s event raised over $11,000 for IHN of Greater Johnson City! Musical talents included: Darin and Brooke Aldridge , ETSU Bluegrass Band, Ed Snodderly and a circle of regional musicians.
The annual Songfest once again provided a venue to expand the awareness of IHN’s role in helping homeless families in our area.
